Good Coffee Program

The Buon Caffé Program is an initiative by Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè. The Program consists in donating the extra proceeds from the sale of the traditional Sant’Eustachio Blend to COOPFAM, the Brazilian Fairtrade certified co-op from which Sant’Eustachio  buys coffee. The protagonist of this initiative is the consumer who, through a traceability procedure, can actually control the use of the proceeds.

The Buon Caffé Program was founded in 2008 by Caffé Sant’Eustachio to celebrate its 70th anniversary and it demonstrates the commitment of historic Rome’s Coffee Shop to promote fair trade.

The quality of the raw material has always been the bench mark of Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè, but lately, they began to give pivotal importance to the quality of trading relationships as well. Today, Sant’Eustachio Blend is composed mainly by Fairtrade FLO (the International Fairtrade Certification Mark) certified coffees.
